Chapter 3 - THE ONSHORE BLOCKADE

The transition from a dismissed, dependent wife back into the sovereign chairperson of Summit Development Alliance was completed before our transport vehicle reached the corporate district.
I sat at the massive marble conference table inside our private downtown suite, my ruined dress replaced by an immaculate, tailored charcoal wool power suit that caught the cold glare of the city lights.
Beside me sat my senior corporate compliance director, Blanca, her screen displaying a multi-layered financial matrix that mapped every single debt vector Gavin had accumulated over the past three years.
"He didn't just lease the Minnetonka property under a fraudulent corporate identity, Stella," Blanca explained, her fingers rapidly scrolling through the highlighted bank logs.
"Gavin used a series of unauthorized secondary credit guarantees from your family’s private advisory trust to secure his country club standing and the imported SUV leases."
"He told the regional investment board that you were merely a local clerical worker who handled minor apartment rentals, ensuring they never audited the primary corporate registries," she added.
"He believed my silence was a permanent license to exploit my father’s legacy to fund his luxury performances," I stated, my pen moving across the default notices with absolute finality.
"He forgot that before I founded Summit Development, I spent five years structuring anti-fraud filters for the national real-estate trade division."
"The commercial catering package he personally guaranteed for tonight's celebration requires a final bank wire of forty-two thousand dollars by midnight," Blanca confirmed.
"And since we have officially executed the collection sequence on the $300,000 promissory note, his primary accounts have just been placed under an emergency treasury block."
I reached out and clicked the audio interface on the central terminal, routing a secure line directly to the luxury estate’s on-site general manager.
"Mr. Vance," I said clearly, my voice dropping into a lethal, quiet register.

"This is Stella Harrell; you may proceed with the immediate administrative collection on the catering contract."
"And if the managing director fails to clear the balance within fifteen minutes, you have my full authorization to terminate the power to the pavilion."
