Part 3: The Rehearsal Dissolution

The morning sun over the Gold Coast district was completely silent when the emergency board meeting convened at 8:00 a.m.

Julian sat at the head of the conference table inside his downtown office tower, his tailored tuxedo jacket looking sharp.

His mother, Eleanor, sat beside him wearing her immaculate cream cashmere, her gold earrings catching the fluorescent light.

"Harper is late for the pre-nuptial signing ceremony," Julian muttered, checking his watch with an impatient, tight grin.

"She’s probably just emotional about the ceremony," Chloe added from the corner, her fingers tapping her luxury handbag.

Naomi Pierce, our lead corporate accountant, walked in right behind me, sliding a thick black folder across the glass table.

The grand digital monitors on the wall lit up instantly, displaying forty pages of unredacted forensic transaction cards.

"You didn't just plan to use emotional leverage to restructure my Lincoln Park condo after the vows, Eleanor," I stated.
