Plot twist

Part 2: The Infrastructure Lockdown

The transition from a broken delivery room to an absolute corporate execution took less than twenty minutes to finalize.

While the primary care team stabilized the newborn boy, Ethan Mercer, Evelyn’s private legal representative entered the floor.

Marcus Bell, the senior compliance attorney for the Mercer family estate, carried a thick leather portfolio under his arm.

He didn't acknowledge Adrien’s frantic explanations, nor did he allow Holloway Dynamics’ PR handlers to access the room.

"The asset transfer documents are already being processed through the state registry office, Adrien," Marcus announced flatly.

"Your wife isn't just changing her surname on the hospital birth certificate; she has initialized a total proxy freeze."

"Every single share she holds in Holloway Dynamics has been moved into an independent, restricted family trust block."

Adrien’s phone began flashing with twenty-four urgent notifications from his firm’s executive board members in London.

The unredacted transaction summaries displayed across his screen showed a complete capital withdrawal from his operation.

Evelyn had used her inherited multi-million-dollar baseline capital to launch a unilateral default against his primary stock.

"You spent the night celebrating a Singapore partnership on a borrowed yacht, Adrien," Marcus stated with an icy calm.

"But you completely forgot that your firm’s primary research funding depends on the Mercer family estate signatures."

"Lock the operating credit lines, Marcus," Evelyn ordered from her bed, her eyes fixed on the baby in her arms.

"I want his entire infrastructure network foreclosed before the municipal banking windows can clear at dawn."

Adrien watched in absolute horror as his corporate network indicators plunged into a sudden, deep red downslide.

The electronic ledger systems synchronized across the state network, locking his executive access keys one by one.

He reached for his jacket pocket, desperately trying to contact his secondary investors, but the data feed was completely dead.

"You thought her family would shield your market valuation forever, Adrien," Marcus added, closing the digital folder.

"But the moment you silenced her eleventh phone call, you signed the absolute foreclosure of your own board seat."
