The next morning, the glass tower of Thorne Global Holdings was surrounded by federal black sedans.
Isabella sat in the grand boardroom, her crimson silk gown replaced by a sharp designer blazer, flanked by four high-priced corporate defense attorneys.
“This is an absurd abuse of power, Marcus,” Isabella’s father, Senior Partner Rossi, shouted as Marcus walked into the room.
“My daughter is a victim of your wife’s unstable emotional state, and we will sue this company into bankruptcy if you don't release the medical files.”
Marcus didn't answer; instead, he plugged the black flash drive into the primary media system on the wall.
The massive projection screen lit up instantly, displaying the crystal-clear security footage of Isabella driving her stiletto heel into Khloe’s side.
The defense lawyers looked at the screen, their folders freezing mid-air as the audio of Isabella telling Khloe to “know your place” echoed through the room.
“That’s assault with a deadly weapon against a pregnant woman, Rossi,” Marcus said, leaning his hands flat on the mahogany table.
“And this is the second file,” he continued, pressing a button that brought up the digital ledger of the Swiss wire transfers.
