Part 2: The Infrastructure Lockdown

The transition from a domestic nightmare to a cold, calculated financial execution took less than ten minutes.

I didn't yell at the officers, nor did I cause a dramatic scene that would further stress Emma's fragile condition.

The paramedics arrived seconds later, gently lifting her onto an emergency gurney to clear the toxins from her system.

As the ambulance doors slammed shut downstairs, I walked straight into my private study, locking the oak door behind me.

My phone vibrated violently against the desk, flashing with an unread communication from Marcus Bell, my senior trust analyst.

"Lucas," Marcus’s voice boomed through the speaker line. "The family is already executing the proxy bypass."

"They used a digital replica of your signature to initialize an emergency asset liquidation on the Lakeshore property."

"They are claiming Emma is mentally unstable to trigger the secondary guardianship clause in your grandmother's will," he warned.

I kept my hands perfectly still on the glass surface, my mind calculating the structural failure points of their plan.

Margaret and Richard believed that a medical emergency and a forged custody file would leave me broken.

They completely forgot that I owned the primary construction grid and the digital server they used to route their paperwork.

"Activate the Vanguard compliance protocol, Marcus," I said, my voice dropping into a flat, dangerous whisper.

"Freeze every single corporate account registered to the Bennett estate before the court opens tomorrow morning."
