Plot twist

Part 2: The Data Intercept

The transition from a broken wedding celebration to an absolute financial foreclosure took less than twenty minutes to finalize.

While Savannah’s legal handlers tried to quiet the whispering crowd, I walked toward my private tasting barn office.

I didn't answer my mother’s frantic attempts to corner me, nor did I allow the event coordinator to restructure the schedule.

I opened my secure encryption terminal at my desk, initializing a direct, unilateral freeze on the Pierce family trust lines.

"Marcus," I said when my lead forensic compliance attorney answered the priority field channel on the first ring.

"The wedding is officially over, and the baseline targets have just realized their financial positions are completely exposed."

"They attempted to route a secondary loan extension using Grandma Eleanor’s cloned digital profile at noon," I stated.

Marcus Bell’s voice came through the secure speaker, flat, professional, and entirely free of any familial hesitation or pity.

"The block is successful, Lila," Marcus reported, uploading forty pages of unredacted transaction ledger data to my screen.

"Your sister Savannah signed a fraudulent cross-collateral asset waiver using your grandfather's old estate paperwork."

"They needed your vineyard’s production history to cover a four-million-dollar capital deficit in their Napa expansion."

I kept my knuckles completely still against the walnut desk, my mind calculating the final failure points of their scheme.

"Execute the default, Marcus," I ordered, my jaw locking into an iron line. "Clear their credentials before the courts open."
