PART 4: THE ABSOLUTE BOUNDARY

PART 4: THE ABSOLUTE BOUNDARY

Six months later.

The morning sun over the Raleigh street was crisp and perfectly clear, warming the stone path and the brass house numbers Paige had polished herself.

The nursery window upstairs was wide open, the soft green walls visible through the glass as the sound of a little girl’s soft baby laughter drifted down to the garden below.

Paige stood on the front porch, holding a warm cup of coffee, watching a large, corporate liquidation truck pull away from the curb down the street.

Marcus Bell walked up the stone steps, a sleek leather portfolio tucked safely under his arm. "The final receivership documents have been fully recorded at the county courthouse, Paige. Bryce’s family assets have been entirely liquidated to satisfy the corporate restitution order."

"And the family startup?" Paige asked, taking a slow sip.

"Completely absorbed into your logistics group," Marcus smiled grimly. "The court executed a permanent protective injunction. Bryce received four years for corporate forgery and grand larceny, and Eleanor has been permanently barred from registering any business entities in North America."

Paige looked down at the digital keypad on her front door. It glowed a steady, reassuring green, a secure biometric scanner now installed above the brass finish.

Bryce and his family had believed that by exploiting a woman's vulnerability after childbirth, they could steal her legacy, change her boundaries, and reduce her to a shadow inside her own home. They never realized that by locking her out in the rain, they had handed her the exact leverage required to erase their names from every legal registry in the state.

She turned and walked through the front door, the safety lock clicking shut behind her with a sharp, definitive snap.

The gates were clean, the house was secure, and her true freedom had finally begun.
