Chapter 5 - Unraveling the Voss Family Fortune

The morning quickly descended into a masterclass in high-stakes domestic karma.
Harrison stood on the front porch, frantically typing on his phone, trying to access his personal line of credit to halt the repossession.
But every single card he pulled from his designer wallet was flashing the same clinical, red error message on his screen: “Account Restricted by Primary User.”
"The cards are dead, Harrison," I said, leaning against the doorframe with my mug of coffee.
"The secondary user access on the black card, the corporate spending pools, the travel insurance—I deleted your names from the registry at 11:30 last night."
Ashley, Harrison’s younger sister, arrived in a local taxi five minutes later, her face pale with an identical financial panic.
"Harrison! What did she do?" Ashley screamed, running up the front lawn. "My tuition payment for the winter semester just bounced from the trust line!"
"The trust line was funded by my father's logistics revenue, Ashley," I said, looking down at the three of them from the porch steps.
"The same revenue your mother claimed I didn't 'deserve' to belong to while she was busy buying Cartier necklaces with my name."
