Chapter 6 - The Battle at Beacon Hill

By 5:00 AM, the sun had begun to rise over Boston, casting pale golden light across the snow-covered grounds of the Sterling estate.
Eight black federal transport vans were parked in the long driveway, their orange safety lights flashing rhythmically against the stone columns.
News crews had already arrived at the perimeter gates, their cameras capturing the unbelievable sight of Boston’s most prominent family being led out of their home in chains.
Silas Sterling sat in the back of a lead sedan, his expensive suit rumpled, his hair disheveled, his face hollow as he watched his entire empire get dismantled in a single night.
The local news broadcasts were already running live updates:
“Sterling Empire Collapses in Overnight Federal Raid; Eight Sons Arrested in Connection to Multi-Million-Dollar Defense Fraud and Felony Assault Case.”
I stood near the front porch, watching the federal agents carry out boxes of encrypted server drives and financial files.
Major Bishop walked up beside me, handing me a cup of hot black coffee.
"It's over, Elias," Bishop said quietly, looking out at the city skyline. "The federal prosecutor has already denied bail for all eight brothers based on the flight risk data Voss provided."
"They're going away for a long time."
"Thank you, Daniel," I said, taking a sip of the coffee.
"Don't thank me," Bishop replied, leaning against the stone railing. "Thank your team. Reaper and Voss worked forty-eight hours straight to make sure that paper trail was airtight."
"How is Tessa?"
I looked at my watch. "She’s coming out of sedation in an hour. I need to be there when she wakes up."

"Go," Bishop smiled softly, patting my shoulder. "We'll handle the rest of the paperwork here."
