I left the broken lock behind me, walking into the private executive study where my senior corporate litigator, Blanca, was already waiting with two active secure terminals.
The screens did not display residential real estate listings or local family court documents; they displayed the multi-layered international transaction ledgers of Cobb Maritime Networks.
"They didn't just spend the last five years exploiting your silence, Lexi," Blanca said, her fingers flying across the keyboard to clear the primary cryptographic firewalls.
"Ronald and his mother have been systematically using your private family development grants to guarantee their failing commercial shipping leases in Panama."
"They forged your digital signature on a series of secondary infrastructure bonds, believing your quiet lifestyle meant you would never audit the legacy trusts," she added.
"They believed my love was a permanent license to fund their luxury illusions," I stated, my pen moving across the federal freeze orders with absolute mathematical precision.
"They forgot that before I married Ronald, I spent five years restructuring maritime compliance protocols for the national trade division."
"The emergency default clause on their primary logistics network has just been fully validated by the state department," Blanca confirmed with cold satisfaction.
"Every single line of domestic credit registered to Cobb Maritime has just been placed under a total administrative quarantine."
