Part 5: The Shadow Partner
The grand opening of the Dallas Advocacy Center brought more than just good press. Late that evening, after the last donor had left, Emily found an unmarked black envelope slipped beneath her office door. Inside was a single printed corporate ledger from a Swiss bank account, dated only three days prior.
At the bottom of the page, a massive wire transfer of fifteen million dollars had been executed, moving funds directly out of the Noah Foundation’s primary operating account. The recipient was a holding company named Acheron Holdings, registered in the Cayman Islands.
Emily’s blood ran cold. Margaret was in a maximum-security prison, and Madison was locked away in a federal penitentiary. Neither of them had access to the foundation's secure banking tokens. Someone else was inside her system, quietly bleeding the inheritance her father had left behind.
