Part 2: The Clinical Intercept

The transition from a bloody residential assault to an absolute, calculated corporate isolation took less than twelve minutes.

While the specialized critical care transport team rushed Claire into the trauma wing at St. Aldrich, the baseline counters were initialized.

Daniel sat inside the private office of the chief facilities division, his face a pale mask of iron focus, his phone active.

He did not answer Patricia’s three incoming calls, nor did he allow Melissa’s legal representatives to access the floorboards.

He initialized a direct, encrypted data sweep with Marcus Bell, the senior compliance trustee for the regional health network.

"The primary signature tokens have been accessed from an unauthorized node inside the residential sector, Marcus," Daniel stated.

"Claire’s family didn't just physically assault her to force an illegal adoption layout during a family dinner."

"They have been systematically attempting to alter the primary registry certificates on her maternal insurance bonds."

Marcus Bell’s voice boomed through the secure receiver line, flat, clinical, and entirely free of any familial hesitation.

"The forensic tracking matrices are already locked down, Daniel," Marcus reported, uploading forty pages of unredacted data blocks.

"Patricia spent the last three weeks constructing a fraudulent digital transfer page using Claire’s old medical license keys."

"She needed the family proxy signature by noon to clear a four-million-dollar real estate deficit in Melissa’s firm."

The grand digital monitors along the concrete wall lit up, flashing bright red warning blocks across the administrative grid.

The files didn't detail standard family investments; they proved a pattern of systematic asset siphoning since last winter.

They had been routing Claire's research dividends to an unlisted offshore account registered in the Cayman Islands.

"They assumed her advanced pregnancy meant she would remain too weak to audit the transaction logs," Naomi Pierce added.

"But the moment Patricia touched the corporate security interface, she activated the automated watermark on the database."

"Initialize the permanent restriction block, Marcus," Daniel commanded, his voice dropping into a freezing register of stone.

"I want their personal lines of credit closed before the municipal banking windows can settle tomorrow morning."
